After Removing Old Landscaping Cloth, Should I Wait To Replant Grass?

I want to put grass in large area in front yard as the landscaping barrier didn't keep out weeds. The ground underneath, is straight, but do I need to let the dirt "breathe" after being covered for so long?
Do I sprinkle more dirt on top? I don't want to disturb the ground too much since it is level now.
We are expecting rain tonight and I am hoping that will soften the dirt some.
Thanks.

Can I Plant Grass Over Landscaping Cloth?

I have a horrible puncturevine problem in my backyard. I am planning to roundup the entire yard. Was wondering if it's possible to lay down the landscaping/weed cloth and layer several inches of soil over that and successfully grow grass?

What Should I Do With Yellow Lawn Grass That I Have Around Landscaping Bricks In My Front Yard?

Will this grass grow back if I water it every day or should I apply lawn patch to it? In some areas the grass is mixed with yellow and green so that's why I was askig if I should water it or not. Some grass is yellow right next to my landscaping bricks and it is all around in patches. The yellow grass extends maybe about 10 inches out in 2 areas, 3-4 inches in the rest of the areas.

How Can You Have Grass & Tree Landscaping In A Very Dry Environment And Be Ecologically Responsible?

We live in the desert - it rains little and it's incredibly hot & dry in the summer. I'm SICK of desert landscaping. Cactus & rock. BLAH.
I want a LOT of grass & trees as well. Can we landscape this way AND make it "green"? I don't want a guilt trip for a lawn.
