depends on how big your yard is and how many trees your have……it would take me 3 days to rake or blow leaves in my yard to one general area and frankly vacuuming them up would not be an option after about the 3rd time I had to stop to empty that little bag.
Plus, with a lawn sweeper, I can clean up cut grass after mowing without having to rake

I use my dustbuster

I just wait a day or two after cutting and then run the lawnmower over it with the bag on.
For picking up leaves, why not use the wide snow shovel? Works like a hot damn.

I assume youre talking about picking up leaves on the ground. I used to have a pull behind lawn sweeper- worked great for dry things, bad for wet things. Ive used my tractor with a bagger to pick up leaves around the corners of my yard- works pretty good, the rest i just rake up and throw in my lawntrailer that i miss.

My favorite is the vacuum. You can get into tiny corners where the sweeper cannot go.
My problem is the vacuum is getting too heavy for me to handle so I might have to use a lawn sweeper.
You can always use both.
