Leaf Blower Won’t Start?
I've had this Homelite Vac Attack gas leaf blower for just over a year now and the dang thing won't start.
What are some things I could check?
Could it be I was using the improper gas/oil ratio that killed it? I use the same gas/oil mix for my weed wacker but one is 30:1 and the other is 40:1.
Thanks!

It’s probably not the mix. If it was, the problem would have to be so bad that the engine would seize. Since that’s not happened the mix is probably ok.
With a 2 stroke it can usually only be a couple of things. They are very simple motors. First, check the spark plug. If you havn’t changed it in a while, thats probably it. 2 strokes go through spark plugs rather quickly. If you have been using too much oil in the gas, I would be suprised if this is NOT the cause. buy a new plug for 2 bucks over at home depot.
2nd, check for a clogged fuel line if you can. If it’s getting spark, and it still won’t run, it’s fuel related. there is an 80% chance that it’s one of those two things.
IF you have checked both of those thigns and it still doesn’t run, it could be the magneto and you’d be better off having it reparied somewhere. It won’ be that expensive but you have to take the thing apart.

Use a rake or a broom, those things are a terrible nuisance anyway.
